Why Soft Sole Matters for Early Walkers
Rigid soles restrict the natural flex a foot needs while a child is still learning balance and gait. A soft, flexible sole lets the foot move and grip more like it would barefoot, which is closer to what pediatric guidance generally recommends for the earliest walking stages.

These are designed for indoor and light outdoor use – smooth soles on soft materials aren’t built for rough pavement or long outdoor play the way a structured toddler sneaker is. Go by foot length, not just age, when picking a size; babies grow at different rates and the age ranges are a starting guide, not a guarantee of fit.
